Loli(Ta)lk: "Under the Sea" - Amsterdam Impressions

The Event is over and I left Amsterdam one day earlier than planned because I became sick. Now I'm sitting at home and trying to defeat the cold I catched. Luckily my body managed to stay as fit as possible so that I had no bigger Problems during the Event.

Here are some Shots of Amsterdam that I made:

This Picture is from the Sunday-Location. I love this chandelier <3

My Outfits:

Yes, it's AKIRA on the right! She was so patient! I suspect almost everybody asked for a Picture on Sunday. There where waiting lines through the whole room.

And there where that many People at the Event. And everybody looked so damn beautiful. Aaaahhh I felt soooo underdressed.

Here are some YouTube-Videos I found:

I'm in this Video...more than once! I didn't knew ^^

Loli(Ta)lk: Alice and the Pirates - Masquerade Theater

http://lolibrary.org/apparel/masquerade-theater-jsk

Masquerade Theater or "The Phantom"-Dress, how I call it, was THE Dress that gave me the last little push to start with Lolita-Fashion. I'm a big Musical-Fan, especially of "The Phantom of the Opera" and when I saw this dress during my Lolita-Research I directly fell in Love with it and thought "I want this Dress! I need this Dress! I must have it!". Luckily I found a Asian-Girl which bought this dress a few Month ago and when I asked her, if she would be willing to sell it, she said yes.
Of cause my preferred color was the red version, but ivory was my second choice and I was very happy with it. Unfortunately the dress got very expensive because of custom duties that I had to pay ;(

The Dress itself was and still is one of my most favorite Dresses, even if I don't own it anymore. I had to let it go. The Dress was very strait on me, therefore wearing it was not very comfortable, but I found a good new home for it ^^

Cut: I loooove the cute of this dress. It's one of my most favorite Cuts, which Baby/Alice ever made.
The Straps can be completly removed. On the Chest is a big Bow that is not removable. This JSK does not have Waist Ties. On the Back it has Shirring and Corset-Lacing, but actually you can't really use the Corset-Lacing. You would destroy the Lace, therefore it's only for the appealing look. This is a major Problem with a lot of Baby/AatP-Dresses..I don't know, why they keep doing this =/ The Skirt has Lace on the End. Due to the Corset-Boning, this Dress makes a great silhouette.

Print: IT'S THE PHANTOM!! What else do I have to say? On the Skirt are Scenes from the Phantom of the Opera, like the Boat with the Phantom and Christin on the underground Lake. The Letters that the Phantom writes, Roses, Angels, Music Sheets of Don Juan (the Opera which the Phantom writes) AND of course THE CHANDELIER!!

Allover Impression: Yes I love this Dress! The only negative Point for me: the Measurements. This Dress is only for petit Girls. I don't think that I'm a "Fetty-chan", but I signed up at the gym especially for this dress. Crazy right?

As I said, I sold this Dress a little while ago. I think it was the right decision, but I miss the Dress. I'm now searching for "Angel of Music" (Size M, black) from Haenuli to get a new "Phantom"-Dress.

Loli(Ta)lk: Alice and the Pirates: Holiday of the Hulim Hulum Brass Band JSK

When this Print was released, I could not order it, because I didn't knew about Shopping-Services at that time. Luckily I found it a few months later on yahoo! new without tags. My preferred color was the Green/turquoise Version, but the Red-Version was my second Choice so I asked my Shopping Service (that I found in the meantime) to order it for me.
The real color is beautiful! It has a great burgundy-red color. If you take a look at the Stock-Pictures, it seems like the Part of the Print with the Brass-Band is in ivory, but that’s not true. Take a look at my Picture. In real, the print with the Brass-Band is in a pale red that fits the color and look of the whole dress much better.

I wore the dress once. I still like it, but I had to let it go. It felt very tight on me and there are other Dresses in my Closet I like more.

Loli(Ta)lk: Alice and the Pirates: Cogwheel of Time and Eternal El Dorado JSK

I like Pirate- and Steampunk-Lolita AND I love Bustle Butts, so this Dress seemed to be perfect for me. The only critical Point was the Waist-Measurement. My Waist isn’t very small and I knew that it would get tight, but I had to try it. Unfortunately I was wrong. The Dress is too small for me...too bad.

But let's talk about the Dress itself. This Dress has wonderful Details in its Print that are not really visible on the Stockpicktures from Alice and the Pirates.
There are Parts of Maps, Roses ....and of course Cogwheels. The Fabric is very soft and thin. The Fabric of the Underskirt / Ruffle Botty is a little more solid.

I really like the Buttons and the Chains on the Bust. The Buttons have a emblem on it. The Lace on the Top is not too cute/romantic in it's style which fits the Steampunk-Style very good.

To bad I could not wear this Dress myself...

Loli(ta)lk: Preparations for the Grand Lolita Teaparty Hamburg

Only 6 Days left until the Grand Lolita Teaparty in Hamburg, Germany. I'm so excited and I still have sooooo much to do.
My Outfits are still not completly planed and a pair of shoes, that I ordered weeks ago haven't arrived yet...

On the first an second space for the Tea Party are currently:

Angelic Pretty - Clestial JSK (navy)

Alice and the Pirates - Theatre de l'erreur JSK (ivory)

It's my first Trip to Hamburg and it's a City that has been on my Travel-Wishlist for years, because I'm a big Musical Fan and Hamburg is one of the big Musical-Citys in Europe. Therefor I will use my trip to Hamburg not only for the Lolita Teaparty, nooo. On Sunday evening I'm gonna visit the Phantom of the Opera at "Neue Flora"-Theatre, my absolute favorit Muscial.

I have CDs, DVDs and Sheet-Music of the Phantom, but it will be the first time, that I will see the Show for real. My Plan is to go to the Phantom in Lolita. I own "Masquerade Theatre" from Alice and the Pirates and what could fit better? The only Problem is, that this dress is really really tight (for me). With this dress I will not be able to sing along with the Musical, but maybe thats better for my seat-neigbour =)
If you want to, I will write you a report when I'm back home.

Oh, one more thing. I ordered a new Petticoat from a ebay-seller from the United Kingdom. I actually wanted a Classical Puppet Petticoat, but this never would have reached me befor Hamburg. That's why I decided to order from a european seller.
Well....I'm not quite sure, if this was the right choice. I received the Petticoat a few days ago. Take a look at this:

About 25cm long

About 2 to 3 cm thick

I've never received a Petticoat packed like this....What will happen, when I open the bag? Well I can show you what happened:

I'm still not sure what to think of it... I guess, I will have to try it under a skirt or dress.

Loli(ta)lk

Isn't that a Lolita Dream??? I want to jump into this Picture!! <3

Lolita + Talk = Loli(ta)lk! I'm planing to use this "Word-Creation" for all my future Lolita-Posts or would you prefer "Loli-Talk" or simply "Lolita Talk"? You can leave a comment ;)

How I discovered Lolita

I first discovered Lolita during a Convention. I saw some Sweet-Lolitas, all in Pink and I thought "Oh my God, this is horrible". WTF? Some of you will say. Well, I never really liked pink. It's just not my colour. But these Sweet Lolitas with their Pink Outfits remained in my Head. I couldn't forget them and a few month later I startet my research. I learned about the different Styles and my Interest grew and grew. I discovered, that Lolita isn't only sweet and pink. Another few month later I decided, that I want to try Lolita myself, but how? How can I create a Lolita Outfit? Where can I get Dresses, Skirts and all this other beautiful Accessories? And how and where would I be able to wear Lolita-Fashion and meet other Lolitas? Only on Cosplay Conventions??
A lot of Questions...well I was a bit planless. I asked Prof. Dr. Google and found fanplusfriend.com. I decided to order two Outfits and some
Accessories.
(If you would like to have a fanplusfriend-Review, please leave me a comment).

At the same time, I found a local Lolita-Group. I saw that they will have a Meet-Up in a few weeks and decided to go there and try my luck. Too bad my F+F-Order would never reach me on time. Thats why I had to create a Lolita-Outfit out of Items from my past Gothic-Days.

What Lolita means to me?

If you would ask me "Do you think, your pretty?", I would say "Definitely, no!". I'm not pretty and I'm not beautiful. I'm a normal girl. Normally I don't use much Make-up (only BB-Cream, nothing else) and my clothes...well, always Jeans, a T-Shirt/Pullover sometimes a Blouse and Sneakers. Very casual. But if I have the chance to wear Lolita - what is only for Meet-ups - I take my time to make the full Make-up and if you would ask me then again, I would say "Yes, I think I'm pretty". Beside the self-confidence that Lolita gives me, I found new Friends through this Fashion, what is even more important.
A few weeks ago I went to a Meet-Up and...don't ask me how, this day was magical. I saw the Picures a few days later and thought "Wow, I'm damn beautiful on this Pictures". It made me so happy, I can't discripe it...

And that is, what Lolita means to me: Fashion, Beauty, Friends, a good time and happiness.

Lolita-Styles and Brands

My Favorit Style is Classic, but I also like Gothic, Pirate and Steampunk. I would also like to try Military or Sailor some day =)
Most JSKs in my closet are from Alice and the Pirates and Angelic Pretty. Whats your Favorit Style and Brand?

Yeayyy it's done. My first real Post ^^

See you soon!
